IPhone: Make The Most Out Of It

By Arnold Miranda

The iPhone has become an indispensable piece of electronics for many owners in modern times. However, using one to the utmost ability and maximizing its potential can prove challenging. For tips, tricks and techniques on how to make the very most of your iPhone, keep reading into the following paragraphs.

To increase your storage space on your iPhone, take advantage of iCloud. This will only take you a few minutes to set up, and it can triple or quadruple the amount of space that is made available. This is especially useful if you store a lot of photographs or a big music library on your phone.

Avoid putting too many apps on your phone. While it can be tempting to load up your device, remember that most users wind up deleting the majority of the apps they add. It can be a costly addiction and it may also slow down your device, particularly when the apps start updating.

If your iPhone freezes and the Sleep/Wake button does not work, do not worry. There is another option. Try pressing and holding on the Home Button and the Sleep/Wake button instantaneously. Then, you'll be notified to slide the tab that will turn off your phone. This type of hard-reset can revive your frozen iPhone.

Use your iphone to read books. Just like a Kindle or an Ipad, the iphone has the capability to allow you to read e-books. Again, like the other options, you will likely have to pay for some of them, but fortunately, you can store them on your iphone as well, so they will be yours forever.

If you have dropped your IPhone in water, use rice to try and dry it out and get it working again. Remove the battery and place the IPhone in a sealed container of dry, uncooked rice. Cover the phone completely with the rice and seal the container. Keep the phone in the rice for at least a day before trying to use it again.

Go to your camera quickly when your phone is locked. A good photo opportunity can come and go in the breadth of a heartbeat. To avoid missing out on such an opportunity, just give your iphone's home button two quick taps. This should immediately bring up your camera or the icon for it.

To get the most from Siri, use this tip to assign nicknames and relationships for each of your contacts. For example, you can tell Siri, "Jane Johnson is my mother." Siri will then request confirmation to link this information to Jane's contact number. Now, you can tell Siri to "Call Mom," and she will automatically bring up your mother's phone number.

Don't forget to check for updates to your applications. You may think that once you download an app, that's the end of it. Make sure you check the update section of your App Store or you risk missing bug fixes or even extra features that app developers add after the app has been released.

Even if you know a fair amount about your iPhone, there is always something new to learn about this powerful device. By using an iPhone, you can make any number of tasks go more smoothly. Just use the tips and techniques you have learned from this article to make your iPhone work for you.
