Never store your iPad with a dead battery. Storing the device with a battery that is completely drained can essentially kill the battery and make the device useless until that battery is replaced. Store your device with at least a small charge, and always make sure to charge your battery before it is completely drained.

You don't have to sync to iTunes to get documents from your iPad to your computer! Just use Share to email the documents from the tablet to your email account anywhere, be it on your computer at home, work or school. You can email it in PDF or Word document format.

Print right from your iPad. You don't have to email a document anymore. If you have the right kind of printer, you can simply print from your Share menu with AirPrinter. Many Hewlett Packard printers are compatible, and you can also use Printopia for printers that are connected to Macs.

Have you ever wondered how many apps are running on your iPad all at once? This is valuable information to keep your iPad running efficiently. All you have to do is to double tap the home button, and a list will appear. Tapping on each one can pull the app up, and swiping downward can remove the list.

Be selective about your notifications. Under the Settings menu, navigate to Notifications. Adjust the settings until you are satisfied with which apps trigger notifications and which ones don't. This keeps you from being nagged by rarely used apps. It also keeps important notifications from being buried by less important ones.

Your iPad is able to double as a digital picture frame. This means that you can skip spending a lot of money on a digital frame. Access this feature by looking to the right of the button that says 'Slide to Unlock' and you should see a small flower. After clicking the flower, your slideshow will begin after a few seconds. You can set the speed and make sure to turn off the zoom in on faces feature.

Put a screen protector on your iPad. It does not interfere with the visibility of the display. The screen protector protects your iPad from oils and dirt from your fingers. It is great way to prevent your screen from permanent scratches. If the protector is scratched, it can be easily replace.

Many people find that the display battery charge is extremely distracting on their iPad. This feature can be turned off. In the Settings menu select General and then Usage. Under Usage you will see the area where you will be able to turn off and on the battery percentage display icon.
